One of the most unique things about this book is Maggie's take on werewolves. I don't want to give anything away if you haven't read it, but her wolves are so much more than the Hollywood version that you've come to know.
Sam is such a beautiful character. He's silent and strong and sensitive. His longing to stay with Grace and fear to let go of the only world he's known for years are what make him so endearing. He loves both worlds in different ways, his wolf life with Beck, his father figure, and his human life with Grace, his first love.
Grace is the only one who was bitten and didn't change. She feels a connection to the wolves, especially Sam, and can sense things that most don't. Her and Sam's connection is unique and special, it brought tears to my eyes in certain moments. So beautiful and sad.
I can't wait to read Linger and the rest of the series.
